The TVBUZ Revenue Share Approach

The fundamental commercial arrangements

We will work with you to structure a pricing strategy that is right for your market, based on our experience of monetising video and your knowledge of the customer base. We would always leave the final decision to you as it is after all, your business.

We would advise structuring a layered pricing model that had an affordable entry level for posting a basic video but a number of attractive higher priced options. You could for example charge a low entry level to sole traders for a single video. The scale of fee would rise for multiple videos and/or limited companies. You could look at other break points or approaches (e.g. for posting montage with voice-over vs. full video). Our customers are making charges of as little as £50 p.a. to as much as £1,000 p.a. for a posting within the listings.

 

Other Revenue Opportunities

There are many other additional revenue opportunities. You could charge for special placing, e.g. 'video of the month' or at the head of a category. You could find a 'sponsor' who would pay for their logo/message to be displayed on the player, which would be seen every time a video is viewed.

The risk/reward business model we outlined would split all these revenues (which are entirely incremental to your current business) between us.

 

Additional Services

All these revenue opportunities can be realised regardless of the origination of the video itself. But you may wish to offer your clients the option to have a video made through your site. If so we have partners who can offer a variety of approaches ranging from photo montage to commissioned original video.

Our UK network of videographers can make a unique, commissioned video for a business for a fixed fee of £700 (within certain constraints). A montage based video could be produced for considerably less (we're hoping to get this down to £100 - £200). The beauty of the TVBUZ approach is that your customers are free to create the video in any way that they wish, but you are able to offer a 'one stop' option for those that want it. These production prices simply cover our costs and are not subject to the revenue share agreement.
